Soul Mate - Poem by zainab zaheen

How can there be one soul who can make our life so much better
Exactly how can this spectacular mortal be the perfect one?
The time I have devoted looking & searching, has paid out
Because I am no longer alone & left out there in the cold.
Finally I have a hand that fills the space in mine.
A home that is occupied with laughter,
And a bed that is no longer bare.

Yet another amazing poem (: I love how all your poems clearly state a subject, yet have subtle emotions hidden throughout. Beautiful word choice too. Soulmates are an intereting thing, something so strong it's hard to define. But you've done it with perfect simplicity (: well done.10+++ (Report)Reply

Short and very beautiful... It is one of the poems in which I donot have to read twice or thrice to understand the meaning...v simple and YOU nicely pictured the importance of Soul Mate...

'Because I am no longer alone & left out there in the cold.
Finally I have a hand that fills the space in mine.'

    Loved these lines...

Zainab- thank you for sharing this poem and asking me to vote on it. It has a very sweet sentiment and excellent choice of words. A lovely message in simple words and it has always been said that there is beauty in simplicity. And unlike a lot of poetry I have read- this poem makes sense!
Maybe you would like to read some of the poetry I have posed on this site?
Thanks again for inviting me to read your poem! -
