Sound Immortal Poem by Christopher Forrister

Sound Immortal

One gentle caress, the lover's touch
the quiver of a single string rings in the heart
So let it be
They dance upon pavement of light and darkness
the echo of the heart heard clearly
reunited dear friends will play
as though they never did depart
So it is
Drift to where the world turns dark
where true light can be found
as the tone of life sounds true
listening to lose yourself
to find yourself
So it was
Awake! The echo fades
as the ballroom dies
The sound remains immortal
