Speaking In Tongues (Saywhat?) - Poem by Eila Mahima Jaipaul

Love, I've been told in the past
I was difficult to understand,
speaking more like a poet
than a person.
If I'd realized
I was talking in tongues
when I said 'I love you...'
I'd have gotten you a translation
from whatthefuckdidyousay
to English.
