Cheer up, my friend, because moments like this happen;
When Life gives us the opportunity to show
That even if the altar calls for us again–
After many dares to cast hopes and prides below–
May the response we pledge to it stay congruent:
“Our ambitions and fates are at Your disposal! ”
Surely, mystical wars shall push us to lament
For rights and treasures that were meant as temporal
Yet to be exchanged for promises we suffer
And covenants that are vowed to be satisfied.
Even though it may take us long to discover
The attainments of faith for which we’ve toiled and cried;
If there is any love and commitment to give,
Count them as sacrifices for what we believe.
