Spiritual Presence Poem by louis rams

Spiritual Presence

I felt his presence as I knelt to pray
I felt his eyes look my way
I felt his hand touch my head
Yet I knew that he was dead.
It's strange how the presence of a loved
one watches over you, when you're
Down and out they come to comfort you.
The aroma of their cologne fills the room
Taking away the pains and gloom.
Then a song comes into your mind that you
Haven't heard in quite some time.
The song is:" memories are made of this "
Then you close your eyes and feel his kiss.
Emotions are starting to build up within
As your body feels like it's on needles and pins.
No one would understand what you're going thru
Unless they have been there too.

Louis, I so enjoyed this poem because not only is it well-written, buy it's true. Even those who don't believe will probably think of the movie 'Ghost' with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, when they read your poem!
