People are not reading,
Much poetry today,
And yet, it is amazing to see
How many still are!
To what purpose
Does it serve,
What I say?
Just to let you know,
That there are still,
Romantics,
Looking for a Star,
And some that think,
That Love is just a better way
Finding a poem or two
That proves what they say.

Very thoughtful poem! Yes, for many people poetry is just incomprehensible nonsense, a waste of time. And yet some people still love it. They like to reflect on life, not just live. I guess that's what makes us different from cows. Or do you think they also make poetry as they stand and chew? Have you read my poem Some Like Poetry inspired by Wislawa Szymborska's one of the same title?
