Strangled Strings Poem by Neha Kaushik

Strangled Strings

Rating: 4.5

Sapphire studded choker of silver
a token of tender affection
reminiscence of bereaved beloved
once a treasure
now transitioned into a halter
suffocating sanguinity
deepening the depths of despair
instigating incessant infliction
tormenting her despondent soul
liberating herself from its chains
bleeding out her suffering and loss
as the scarlet ribbons streamed the ground
reflecting their union in other world

lovely bits of strings still strung around her neck..
