Dip liao flowers in water but not to quench fire
Aquatic birds startle fish and silver shuttles jump up
Ten million hectare of lotuses meet the eye on every side
Over the clear water red and green mixes tight
Sun Wu had beheaded the palace ladies of Wu
Hanging the beauties’ heads above the coloured glaze pool

1)李璟(916—961),南唐烈祖李昪长子,在位(943—961)。
2)孙武(约公元前545年—公元前470年),春秋时期著名)的军事家、政治家,后人尊称他孙子。
3)吴,吴国。
Note:
1) Li Jing (916-961) , the eldest son of Emperor Southern Tang Liezu, Li Bian.943-961 reigned.
2) Sun Wu (? 545 BC -? 470 BC) , the famous military strategist and statesman of the Spring and Autumn period, China. He is addressed Sun Zi respectfully by later generations.
3) Wu, Wu State.
