As you grow weary
you travel the skies with feet
glued to Mother Earth
M.J., I haven't seen the film, so at a bit of a disadvantage. However,2 immediate interpretations: 1) The weary and the old have lost their will/enthusiasm for travel and 2) Astral travel. Even the weary and the old can do it. With feet glued to Mother Earth. Trust me. I'm living proof!
Richard, thanks so much. Those are great responses. Actually, one of the themes of this great classic movie is the loss of passion, undergoing trials, and recovering or rediscovering that inner will. Hope you get to see the movie some day.
Yes, soar into the skies, without losing touch with the realities! Crystallized wisdom! Cannot be better put! 10+
Thank you so much, Valsa. I'm finding that today is a day to stay firmly stuck to the earth.
Yes, soar into the skies without ever losing touch with the realities! Crystallized wisdom! Cannot be put better!
earthbound and out of step with adventure, put with grounded effect :)
I do not know this film. While it may add depth to this piece, I cannot think the film would make me like this senryu more than I do now! It is perfectly balanced on the contrast- just so perfectly. You are a master of brevity and imagery and bold uniqueness. 10 to the max! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
