Summer Season Poem by Ellen Ni Bheachain

Summer Season

Rating: 5.0

Sunshine beaming all day long,
Under the shade is still quite warm,
Mingling and laughing feeling good,
Memories are made on these bright sunny days,
Everyone is happy and feeling good,
Romance is blossoming as new loves are formed,

Seeing everyone cheerful after the last few years,
Everyone is so eager to get out this year,
After Covid-19 lockdown, the heatwave is well received,
Sunshine and hot temperatures bring an upturn to this year,
Onwards and upwards from here on in,
No more Covid-19 lockdowns but the warm sunshine season.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Covid-19 has brought a lot of depression and isolation issues. With the lockdowns easing and then a heatwave, what a better way to turn this year 2021 around. E-NíB.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Sylvia Frances Chan 24 July 2021

Covid-19 has brought a lot of depression and isolation issues. But the government here is very strict, they keep the Covid rules still very tight, but indeed the sea, the shores and the sand are calling for us. Enjoyed very much your poem, but we may still not go to eat in restaurants
