Summer Sun Poem by David Harris

Summer Sun

Rating: 5.0

The scent of fresh cut grass
wafts through the air
adding to all the fragrances
that are already there.
It’s summer again
and every flower’s leaf
is soaking up the sun,
enjoying the warming rays
for another day.
Tomorrow it might rain
and they’ll have a long
and cool refreshing drink,
but for today, the sunshine
is warm to the touch
brining smiling faces
to all who enjoy it there.

Here comes summer, well maybe not quite yet, but it sort of gets you in the mood... Andy 10

Oh I can't wait for summer David, my favourite season. All those long cool drinks and lying about on fresh cut grass! (Thanks for reliving the memories here) . HG: -) xx
