Superstition Does Not Exist.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Superstition Does Not Exist....

Superstition does not exist.

This Christian country has a lot of superstition
in their daily rhythm
as on Friday the thirteenth of the calendar year
many beautiful churches most fiery prayers to God
I hear them, I just smile
then I testify of God's great blessings and miracles

During our weekly meetings
fiery words from my mouth
God's miraculous changes
a beautiful baby son was born that year
he is so incredibly cool and beautiful,
I feel very blessed, really
on that sunny beautiful day of Friday the thirteenth
is the obvious proof: my baby son born, whom God has sent to me

Later, Panter came home to live with us
more than fifteen years of love and suffering shared
she is very sweet and clever, our sweet black cat
if it's dark behind our house, you can't find her

And now about another old superstition: walking under a staircase
that can bring accident if you walk under it
of course if you do not pay attention, you kick against the stairs
then you fall like an idiot
but beware, just look out while you walk under it
indeed, you can just walk under it
the staircase remains standing
and you can go under it without any accident
no accident indeed
so never complain about superstitions

they simply do not exist

my second baby son was born
on Friday the thirteenth, grows prosperous,
as prosperous as the Martini tower
and in terms of Panter our black female cat
she has always had fun and pleasant moments with us
and her fur, such a splendour!

I thank God every day for all the blessings
that keep coming, the blessed changes
my mother and my only brother in the far country,
so much enjoyed God's great blessings and miracles

No superstition in our database
no images of Babel and related to
God showed me how it must
we honour him, praise him and great is our trust
we worship Him with all our hearts
our faith has only grown ever since
and with God's great Love and ardent support we are never fatigued, never ever....
