Survival Poem by Romeo Della Valle

On one particular day
Unexpectedly an evil force
Encompassed the world
Witha vengeance powerful
Enough to shake up
The entire globe and with panic
And fear testing the will and
Strength of humanity as everyone
Questioned this Hellish nightmare
And invisible enemy to the
The well being of mankind

Today many are in quarantine,
Isolated, social distancing and
Seclusion which has disturbed
Our usual routine as we knew
The outside seems like a ghost
Town with every business
Closed or shut down!

Bodies dropping everyday
And all over the world
Like dried leaves in the fall
Now in our prayers there is
An urgent message to
The Almighty God
To please save the world!

So far from one another
Yet so close together in spirit,
Heart and mind when faith
And hope keep all of us afloat
Until we can finally see the light
At the end of this dark tunnel!
