Sweetest Cake Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Sweetest Cake

I-t's another new year,
S-unday first January;
A-s you celebrate your birth,
B-eacon shares his glory.
E-vening shadows disappear, darkness does the same;
L-ight above the horizon fuels the burning flame.

G-ray clouds don't gather,
O-n the day of double event;
N-ice fireworks are displayed,
Z-enith watches the moment.
A-s the midnight has passed,
L-et the fresh morn break;
E-vade the bitter taste,
S-avor the sweetest cake.
