Swing Low Poem by Julia Luber

Swing Low

This has nothing to do with covering up something else, now
does it? Something that exposes so much in such an obvious
way, so suddenly: that you don't have to read much, you don't
have to think much-you just know with your gut, don't you?
Or don't you? A part of me can't believe they sink so low, so low.
Swing low sweet chariot. Swing very very low. As low as them.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
How I am consistently shocked at how low certain politicians sink and how they have actually convinced themselves and believe it their job to do so.

The sorry state of affairs about politicians. They don't feel shame about such deeds. Nice poem.

Hard to know what to say about state of affairs here in USA at this point. The congress is out of control and stooping to a new low in a unilateral agenda by the Democrats. They are showing so much insecurity about getting the Presidency through honest voting periods so soon that they are sinking to a new aggression. I was going to vote Democrat, but after this show- no way.
