Tale Of Two Handicapped Handyman Poem by Tushar Ray

Tale Of Two Handicapped Handyman

I am about to tell you an interesting tale
Of two handicapped young men
Drawn to each other on first meeting
Not due to love at first sight
But due to imminent mutual interests
Instantly flashing in both mind on contact
And the enlightening story is detailed as follows

One man is legs-amputee on a wheel chair
Calling himself as Science by name
The other is childhood-blind, strong young man
Calling himself Spirituality, and
Spirituality sensed Science beforehand from afar
With his supernatural senses
Thus they met in the dense forest being lost

Both figured out what needed from the other
And agreed even prior to discussion
Then Science sat on the shoulder of Spirituality
With his eyes serving as their guide
And started fast to get out of the dense Forest
Leaving the sun behind and go toward east
Since the village of Science lays on east-side
Hoping to reach there before sundown

Along their escape route they began to enjoy
Everything akin to reunited soul-mate
With the acute senses of Spirituality bound to
That of Science's clear-vision around -
Seeing Sun's game of hide-and-seek in the forest
With dancing greeneries, sparkling holes
Echoing duck-flights, humming birds and bees
Beehives, monkeys and cuckoos on the trees
Both of them enjoyed all and much more

The skilled handyman shared life-experiences too
Spirituality said he had a secure blissful life
Until this event, getting lost and meeting Science
But his briefly lost bliss is back again
Science noted, he's at peace now but suffered prior to
From age five after losing both legs
And his depression got worse and worse with time
Thanking God, he is at peace again!

There is a similar story told by a blossomed Lotus:
Until blossoming out it was blissful
All through the time following its upward journey
Ever since birth in mud and under-water growth
It had ample fun growing and swimming the calm water
While its soul enjoyed bliss within
But bliss gradually vanished and anxiety took over
Soon after it started blossoming above water!
Showing Science-art and Spirituality are complimentary
And essential for the full growth of an individual

Thus it should be noted that- -

All soul except few Avatars fall in this category
All are born to learn in this school-of-life
How to use their mind-body-intellect properly
In a balanced-state with open-mind and wide-heart
To enjoy a life in bliss in mind-body harmony:
And
This is a categorical Truth, not an allegory!

Wonderful tale. We are at a point where science and spirituality are coming together and complementing each other in their efforts to seek truth. Nothing can benefit humanity than their joining hands to create peace and harmony in life. Thank you for sharing.

never read a tale like this one! and never will. this is not just poetry. this is true teachings from a true human being. through this poem, it seems i have read a whole book. I run out of words to express what i feel. I feel just humbled by reading them. I will start with reading Tagore songs after i read more of your other work.
