Tall Order Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Tall Order

Keep it.
In order.
Walk tall,
Around walls and borders.
In spite of it all,
Falling around you down.

Keep it.
In order.
Head up.
And shoulders back.
On a path with focus locked,
Unstopping your wishes and dreams.

Everybody has their ups and downs.
As if strapped tight to a roller coaster.
Everybody has their smiles and frowns.
And 'so-so' days in between.

Keep it.
In order.
Everybody has their ups and downs.
Keep it.
In order.
Head up.
And shoulders back.
Walk tall around walls and borders.
Everybody has their ups and downs.
And those 'so-so' days.
Everybody has their ups and downs.
Living those 'so-so' days.

It's a tall order.
Walking with a head held high.

It's a tall order.
Walking around walls,
And borders.

Everybody has their ups and downs.
Living in these 'so-so' crazy days!
