Tandem Togetherness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Tandem Togetherness

No peace succeeds without a needed,
Tandem togetherness.
That connects.
No peace succeeds without a needed,
Tandem togetherness.
That connects.
To protect it.
Kept respected.
Never to allow neglect.

No peace succeeds without a needed,
Tandem togetherness.
That connects.
And kept respected.

Divisions are not solid as a rock.
To throw at another nonstop.
Or chips sitting stacked on shoulders.
Daring anyone to touch or not.
Or come close to knock them off.
No peace believed to have it wished.
Has to be wanted and top of the list.
To happen.
Divisions are not solid as a rock.
Or chips sitting stacked on shoulders.
They grow into boulders.

No peace succeeds without a needed,
Tandem togetherness.
That connects.
To respect.
And kept protected.
Effectively to not neglect.
Together.
