Tanka - 19

Rating: 5.0

tumbling jumbo jet
acrobats in the mid air
makes random patterns
like emptiness of dusk sky
leaving me with haywired thoughts

I catch myself sometimes, looking up at a speck of an airliner soaring into the distance and think about the fact that there may be well over 100 people up there,6 miles high, traveling 500 mph. All of them with individual lives and stories to tell, heading out of sight and most likely never to be met

Some incidents look acrobatic in beholders' eyes. Reality may leave a heart and mind in haywire. Thanks for sharing life reflecting tanka.
