Tanka - Aging

Rating: 5.0

on endless journey
as the years go passing by
mind say continue
body says tired now enough
parrot out of cage, can't fly

Very thought provoking. Aging is a journey- indeed. But the caged parrot suggests that the journey is incompatible with travel....And that is ageing...we move on, without ever having to take a single step. Brilliant verse!

No use of taking parrot out when age passed.

This Tanks poem is very interestingly and excellently penned. Although age crosses and body gradually decays, still mind remains young to work hard and write more poems and comments. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned...10
