Michael Heraly

Tardy Princess

Poem by Michael Heraly

Somewhat sweaty palms
Before a princess I wait
Stay calm, stay calm
She told me she was late
Twas only one evening
A kiss turned into more
Now the royalty is leaving
And she's become a whore
I couldn't be a prince
Why is it that I bother?
No chance for me since
She's the daughter of her father
