Tears Poem by Alyssa Lynn

Tears

Tears
You can’t mourn what changes cuz it’ll just leave you feeling empty, feeling numb. So live it up for as long as you can. Live up the days when you were my man. Cry, but only for a short amount of time, to mourn the day you will never be mine. Breaking out to the days so long ago, back when my heart was still mine; break it up, all the lies fade so sick of shades of grey.
Don’t cry over the forgotten, for there’s always a reason they were left behind. After all the heartless waste no time, breaking the rules to the so called games till we’re all just left with this charade. Breaking up, as time flies by, no time to breathe, no time to ask why. Not everyone who meets fire, should be burned, left with scars, we’re forced to learn.
Crawling out the door just to get away, gotta try, today’s gotta be a new day. Not sure how to end this score, when words make no sense and the end is nowhere in sight, go back to a time when everything seemed right.
