Temporary Inconvenience Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Temporary Inconvenience

Changes to make them,
Suddenly to embraced...
As permanent.
Is not a situation,
Anyone can fake.

Many may recommend or suggest,
What direction one should take.
Without themselves before,
To have opened up that door.
Claiming experienced.

And those in leadership positions,
Incapable to rise above...
This condition affecting,
Everyone involved.
Should not believe they can solve,
Such a unique situation...
By relying on deception.
Or accusations to create.

In the hope delusion will erase,
A truth that has come...
As a temporary replacement.
Since back to business as usual,
Will not remain paralyzed.
In a reality to accept it,
For what it is.
But rather pretend it to be,
An inconvenience to their 'normalcy'.

"Can you give us some advice,
As how best we can live our lives...
During this crisis? "

-Sure.
Look at it as a temporary inconvenience,
To the normal deceptions...
You are accustomed to accept.-

"Thank you.
I had been hoping,
You would be honest with us."

-When have I not been,
Direct and truthful? -
