Thank You My Angel And Hero - Poem by Michael P. McParland
You have done very much for me my Angel
of everlasting light and love.
It will take me many times in many ways
to tell all and in the greatest ways thank you in full.
I'll attempt here though to give a few
and give the greatest thanks I can sweet lady of mine.
In the middle of High School and many years after
we lost almost all contact save a few moments
that were intensely emotional and filled with love.
Events that pulled us apart that were not fair
and being young well beyond our control.
I still loved you all that time and I know
in my heart and soul you loved me too.
Thank you dear in depth so righteously true.
In all those years I felt you from far away
and always knew we'd find our day,
and again we found each other and I felt your love right away,
thank you my love for not forgetting me
you truly are so kind and great.
Our love remained as I always knew it would.
Your love is what kept me going through those years,
so many times the power you sent kept me alive.
You are my Hero and my Angel,
I thank you dear for every way you've helped me from then to now.
I love you so very much for the soul you have
and the wonderful lady you are in full.
So many hard days through the years you've helped me,
yesterday being the most current.
I've given you so many secrets
because I love and trust you,
my walls are coming down because
I give myself to you in full sweet lady.
You are my everything my sacred precious hero.
For now I shall stop here but expect many more thanks my dear.
You have been my universe and the holder
of my heart and soul, my essence is yours in full.
I want to marry you because your love and spirit
are so truly clean and pure.
I love and thank you dear forevermore.
