The Beauty Of Gray - Poem by Daniel Oliveira

Fix your hair, in the mirror
Fix your face
It’s all an image.
Your fake reflection
Don’t try to hide your need to conceal
Unraveled
Unrevealed
Just another one
What more can we ask?
Weak in beauty as we fade
Broken into gray
Monotony, the shivering mirror glass
It’s ok
Just another gray walking down the street
Into obvious
Oblivion
Looking inside our tampered dreams
Lusting the end
Repairing faces we’ve lost or buried
Shattered into
Porcelain
Silk perfection
The gloss in our blank gaze
Just another one of us
One of you
Me
Fading into gray
Broken into gray
Fading gray
Beautiful.
