The Beginning Poem by Dawn Novus

The Beginning

Rating: 5.0

He came in on a sunny day
Complete and charming devil may
All tousled and disheveled stood
Atop his fortress
Tall and good
And I unmounted hastily
To find what he had his for me
And caught the glinting in his eye
As fools rush in I rushed and pried
For what designs this Parisian
Upon his plans for rebellion
Did have in mind for my soul
To paint his dreamy dreams for told
For I willingly was lead
But not the willing in my head
Lead by my secret persons heart
That I found inside his arty art
He wrote his name upon my head
Where all and sunder there have read
And I left on the swinging tyre
The flower of my hearts desire

Tousled ruffian looking man; took you by your gentle, tender-hearted hand; so began spinning tales, yet stories were so true. - Thank you Dawn Novus - Great first poem, sorry it took me so long to get back to your work. Thanks love
