The Colour Pink Poem by Paula Glynn

The Colour Pink

The colour pink,
Could be the colour of a lipstick,
The colour of beautiful roses,
Pretty painted nails,
And stylish handbags.
Little girls wearing,
Their cotton dresses,
Copying the style of their mothers,
So grown up and attractive.
Fo pink is thought,
Thre colour for girls,
Whereas it is blue for the boys,
Blue being strong and masculine,
Pink being delicate and emotional:
Or at least in the past.
For even girls like the colour blue,
Even very feminine girls,
Love all the colours of the rainbow,
Boys blue, girls pink,
Making adults stop and think,
For this is a world of colour.
