The Cops Save Nothing Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

The Cops Save Nothing

The fire department is called in
To put out the burst;
The policemen are on guard
Against the looters.

A blazing manor house
Has three burning rooms;
The ferocious fire consumes the hall,
The thick black smoke looms.

The first room is full of books,
Next jewels and cash;
And the last with a famous dog,
As water does splash.

The firemen begin to enter
Into the mansion;
They try their best to extinguish
The conflagration.

The blaze busters rescue those
Trapped in the lodging;
Some possessions are also salvaged,
The cops save nothing. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
