The Dance Of Tricks Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

The Dance Of Tricks

Brave are the stances taken against,
Created enemies to have it believed...
A way of life kept fantasized to live,
By the dance of tricks...
Is threatened to end and quick.
If disregarded is the presence,
Of newly found terriorists.
More serious than others announced,
As a nuisance to ignore.
We all should forget.

Fears periodically heightened,
Seem to occur between holidays celebrated.
As the warming days of Spring,
Bring with it fresh rumors of war.
Awakening to spread from Winter's hibernation.

While those responsible for havoc they create,
Can not wait to reveal their interests placed...
In the exchanging of funds.
More with it done to entice the welcoming,
Of a diversity to include everyone to delude.
Using God once again as a reference.

Oh...
This dance of tricks,
Whether delivered by scholars from podiums.
Or preached from pulpits mixed with politics,
Never diminishes the importance to keep worshipped.

Although...
It is the quality of life,
That is seldom marketed for the price paid.
Or effectively witnessed to bring benefits,
To the ones on the short end...
Made to be convinced,
That an advertised way of life...
Will someday arrive if they should survive,
The reality of receiving trinkets spilling...
From the pockets of their elected thieves.
