The Dark Fog Poem by Aileen Figueroa

The Dark Fog

Rating: 4.8

Mystic drizzles in the dark fog.
Blinking excess water off my eyes.

A heavy veil of darkness covering
all traces. Where am I? Feeling
heavy as the wind weighs me down.
My legs are like concrete feet.

Don't know if it's worth waiting,
hiding in fear of the storm.

I see there is no sensitivity
for my pleading heart.
So, I continue walking.
My will leading me on.

Mystic drizzles in the dark fog.
Trying so hard to manipulate firmly
each footstep on this ground.

But I know soon enough,
There'll be a clearance in the storm.
There'll be a sign, one, I have seen before.

Lights from the pools of water on the ground,
readying itself to guide me through the path,
where I am to walk on down.
