In the shadows of friendship
Lurks a darker side of creativity
In which we get in touch with reality
In the shadows of tomorrow
Lurk the phantoms of yesterday
And today we resolve our pain
In the shadows of feuding
Lurks the double-edged sword of kinship
In which love and hate meld together
The shadows have lost their darkness
The light penetrates the pain and sorrow
And my life triumphs over tomorrow
I will always treasure the love we had
And never regret the darker side of our emotions
As we move on with our own destinies
