The Day And The Night Borns For A Good Rasul Gamzatov

* * *
The day and the night borns for a good
The children of time - the brother and the sister.

And from a century on the planet
Only separately they go always,
And the Earth protogenic children -
They are a people, a fire and water.

Over the river the fire by the tongue
Is torn in the sky.
And I am glad till the morning
To see the red-faced brother,
Hearing, as the sister sings.
