The day breaks in the east
The thin ray of light passes
Though the wall of cold mist
I wake up to a lilting sound
Of anklets and bangles as you
Place your feet on the ground
The bees appear one by one
To hover over opening buds as
The lone star dies on the horizon
From swinging nesst in fronds
Birds rush away towards the sky
Across fields, rivers and ponds
Peace and love float in the air
As smoke rises from the roofs
And the priest chants a prayer
The day breaks in the east
All seem to have dressed nice
As if partaking in a grand feast
