The Eternal Whisper Of Prayer Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Eternal Whisper Of Prayer

Prayer is not merely a ritual; it is a sacred conversation, a heart's whisper to its Maker. It is the moment when the soul bends in humility, seeking not just mercy, but alignment with the divine rhythm of the universe. In its pure essence, prayer is the thread that ties us to eternity, a gentle reminder of who we are and who we strive to be.

Establish the prayer—not out of obligation, but out of longing. For prayer is the light that pierces through the fog of shameful deeds and forbidden desires. It restrains the self from tumbling into shadows, offering instead the clarity of divine remembrance. And yet, beyond its rituals and movements lies a supreme truth: the remembrance of God is life's highest purpose. It is the heartbeat of existence, the melody that awakens the dormant virtues within us.

Islam, the path of voluntary submission, is the straight road to self-awakening. It is not a shackle but a liberation—a freeing of the soul from the chains of falsehood, from the tyranny of both spirit and matter. It invites humanity to taste the sweetness of freedom, to walk unburdened by the weight of ignorance.

God, in His infinite mercy, sent His Last Messenger as a guide, a light bearer to those lost in the wilderness of despair. Through him, the yoke of oppression was lifted, and the doors of enlightenment flung open. He came to teach that submission to God is not subjugation, but elevation. It is the discovery of one's true essence, the realization that freedom lies in surrendering to the Source of all freedom.

In the stillness of prayer, we find our true selves. As foreheads kiss the earth, the ego dissolves, and the soul ascends. With each word, each breath, we are reminded of our purpose: to be virtuous, to walk gently on this earth, to be vessels of divine love.

And so, let prayer be not just an act, but a state of being—a bridge to the divine and a call to the virtues that lie dormant within. Let it be the song of the soul, rising with the dawn and resting with the stars, echoing eternally: 'To You we belong, and to You we return.'
