The Finale - Poem by ryan dainiel brown

Where has the innocence gone
Pain and hate in it's stead
It's not suppose to be this way
Crawling in the dark
We have the scars of too familiar meetings

I can't tell which is worse
The damage unnerving from each side
Two monsters trapped in one cage
Only one can survive
I've made my choice

Sink them into me
Let me feel life slip farther down
Juicy red drips from your lips
No one will remember
The other half of death

Our paths can never cross
Your eyes never connected to mine
My sacrifice my own damnation
Burn the pain away
One eternity to the next
