The Fortunate Are Not Lucky Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

The Fortunate Are Not Lucky

Rating: 4.5

Every horror that you went through
Will be the armour of experience,
Which will lend you enough confidence
With which you face the future at ease.

The fortunate are more vulnerable
And the unfortunate, less susceptible,
To the stress they are subjected to.
The cactus is seasoned for draught.

The rock that endures hammering turns into a beautiful sculptor, rock that shatters becomes mere pebbles that get strewn on the road to be stamped by travellers.....misery makes us strong! A wise write once again from the wise man!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, view and concept. I enjoyed reading this and the message and imagery that came forth from your words were clear showing that regardless of the experiences one faces in life, the end will be the same for everyone, and no amount of luck will change the inevitable. Hope you don't mind, but in the first line you have an error. Instead of 'though', you should have 'through'. This is well worded, well expressed with a good flow from beginning to end. Well done. Many blessings to you

Shades of Nietzsche's 'Thus Spake Zarathustra' in this one Shanmugam. Very well written and thought out. I give it a 10.
