Is a man's life merely book keeping
In which one has to do crediting & debiting!
The living man is then no more than a merchant,
And using skills for getting too much profits.
Is money the meter to measure the profit?
Its a quiz grotesque and without any solution.
If we allow it as the meter then no doubt
We have to forget the soul and it's salvation.
Salvation is the aim if we decide contrarily
Then no place in ones life will get the money,
For a being to crave for and run after it
Only to win grief & eternal discontentment.
To salvage ones soul is when his ambition
He may take money as means & not an end.

Is money the meter to measure the profit? Its a quiz grotesque and without any solution. If we allow it as the meter then no doubt We have to forget the soul and it's salvation.... true dictum. The main aim of life is to obtain salvation not the money. It can not go with soul after death. Marvellous poem presented. Thanks.
A brilliant poem! Man is so concentrated on his material pursuits, that he often forgets the purpose or goal of his life. Money is required only to live a contented life not the ultimate goal. The 'Atma' is often forgotten! A full score for you, Sir!
To salvage ones soul is when his ambition He may take money as means & not an end. poem from a different angle to realize the truth..
Quite right.... money is only a means! But unfortunately, earning money is seen as the sole pursuit of life. When money becomes the end of life, we are ignoring the greater priorities of life! A meaningful write!
