Two lakhs thirty thousand years ago, so they say,
At the dawn of the Homo Sapiens age
Or even before that,
One of the wise men spoke of ‘positivity'
Even while living inside a cave,
Even while fighting for that cave with the lions,
The tigers, the hyenas;
He nurtured hope as he saw the sunrise
That gave him light, warmth, new vigor,
And prepared him to meet another day!
That seed of positivity, implanted that day
Lives to sprout again and again
In the hearts of his descendants:
You, me, we, our children, grand-children,
And the children yet to come!
And so, we march on
Thanks to that glorious ancestor
Who refused to give up,
Whose torch we carry
And vow to carry it high!
The seed of positivity we all must have going forward in an unpredictable world.
Great write. We should strive to give our sons and daughters a beautiful world to live in.5 star
Loved this very positive poem. We all know who wrote, ‘ If winter comes, can spring be far behind? '. But, millennia before Shelley was born, the cave-man, the first-ever homosapien had sung this song. He thought, therefore he were and we are.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
