The Greatest Importance Of Easter Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Greatest Importance Of Easter

Rating: 5.0

Today it is not surprising
that women were the first to see the empty tomb of Jesus

and they announced
the empty tomb for the rest of Jesus' followers.

But in the ancient Greco-Roman world,
women were not the messengers the world trusted
to deliver important news.

That was really impossible,
the people around them would say
these women were crazy or drunk!

But it is true that the Gospels say
that women see and tell, see and share,
weep and wait, after discovering the empty tomb of Jesus.

we have to look at the 5 Easter women
who witnessed the death and resurrection of Christ.

After all, it was women who announced this
in a men's majority domination!

think how much courage they must have
to have the strength to announce this!

having read this in the Holy Scriptures,
i retreated into solitude
and thank the Lord for His absolute Omnipotence

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was how it happened in those days when Jesus was still on this earth with us. Not men announced the greatest news about Jesus'resurrection, but 5 women who in fact were shy and simplel in a men's domination at that time, these women spread the news about this greatest and mightiest mircle all time and we can read in the Holy Bible how God is working in this broken world of unbelief. Imagine this happened almost 2000 years ago and this news is still actuel, so many years having known this greatest Wonder and fact, my emotions are still huge and heaviest, it is true, it did happened 2000 years ago obn that Golgotha and the rest we know from the Holy Bible. Thank you so much for reading and understanding the meaning of Easter. God Blesses in abundance all of you, humbly Sylvia Frances Chan Friday 26 March 2021
