The Ground Is Good Enough Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

The Ground Is Good Enough

Rating: 5.0

In hope of higher spheres, kissing skies,
Man once tried higher and higher rise.
It left him short of breath,
Testing his very faith,
There came when a virus
To expose all his fuss,
O ground's good, a li'le bird got him wise!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Corona crisis seem to have taught us a few things. One is: contentment over greed-governed growth. In lock-down we have realized we can do without so many things, and still can feel better. Yes, the higher a monkey rises, the more it exposes its rear. Alas, man is no good learner from what happens.

It is a beautiful Limerick that relefects clearly. Your Poet's Note makes more clear to the poem. The higher a monkey rises, the more it exposes its rear. Thanks for sharing.
