The Hill

i lay there dead
upon the hill
lying there calmly
peaceful and still

happy to die
and happy to rest
my life was ruined
my heart undressed

im out of danger
im free of pain
my tears before
were so hard to restrain

so now im gone
and the times i would dread
so i lay upon this hill
i lay here dead.
