Bri Edwards recently told me
of his most secret fantasy,
the thing of every young man's dream:
a contest eating just ice cream!
So I arranged this hearty game,
with prize of glory and great fame.
We had the contest at Bri's house,
there in the absence of his spouse.
Bri ate three quarts; could not do more;
and Cowboy managed to eat four.
But even he was not the boss;
the winner was old Smoky Hoss!
Bri said he thought that was a sin;
how in the world could Smoky win?
Hoss said he knew some tricky ways,
and he had starved himself for days!
I am surprised that Bri and Smoky have not commented on this poem. Could it be that neither one of them has seen it yet?
You should have invited me. I love ice cream and would love to see Bri's place in South Carolina. He lives in the woods with bears and everything!
Beautiful poem! Bri and ice cream go together.You should have invited me to the contest.Who does not like ice-cream?
I suppose very few people DON'T like it. Thanks for commenting, Bharati.

I would like to translate this poem
What? ? ? No way could Smoky eat more ice cream than I can! Of course, I could eat much more than Bri, for sure. A fun poem! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the comment, Cowboy.
