The Immortal Trilogy Poem by Paula Glynn

The Immortal Trilogy

The Immortal

Goodbye Satan,
After all those lives,
He has left your hell,
Now only living in paradise,
Heaven with no lesson to learn,
Those days and nights,
Gone and history,

Having been born,
Those dark Queen Victorian days,
The night dark and foggy,
Along those old roads,
Wanton Harlots,
Having their payday,
Rewarded by a knife,
In their gut,
Jack the Ripper,
Not caring about whom he offends,
Knowing the power of the kill,

But hell waited,
Now torturing his soul,
To have him burn in the flames,
To have him cry,
At the hands of bullies,
A serial killer of the 1800's,
On the ship of fools,
Deciding it better to die,
Than hang on and survive.

But now it is a new century,
Jack the Ripper deceased,
Never killing again,
For now he has found God,
The white light,
Releasing his pain and suffering,
Hellraiser over forever.

Now a hero of the new century,
To explore the world,
And see the wonderful lights,
Of every city and town,
The entire world,
At his fingertips,
For he is the immortal,
Reincarnated over and over,
Getting happier with every new life,

And so many are born,
All living lives legendary,
All living lives of colour,
Memories of dark times,
Not forgotten,
But put aside,
Lessons now learnt.

Airplanes and trains,
Travelling in freedom,
Everyone his friend,
Music playing at every party,
And his job does more than,
Pay the bills,
For his work heals the world,
For he never again steals,
Earth God's jewel,
Every life precious,
And very real,

For angels are the immortals,
Going on and on forever,
For those like him,
Are brave, important and clever,
Making the world go around,
And being a better place,
For every mother and father,
Daughter and son,
For the immortal lives this life,
And knows he has finally won.

The Immortal Part 2

To travel from life to life,
Everlasting life for all souls,
Happiness the goal,
Freedom to never sell the soul,
No devil to trick the heart,
Or take the immortal,
Away from the goal,

Whether Jack The Ripper,
Or a saint from heaven,
All souls glide towards truth,
Whether older,
Or whether in youth.

The ancient Greeks,
Their immortals,
Being gods and goddesses,
Transpiring space and time,
The earth a gift,
A paradise only the free,
Can enjoy and really see,

The oceans and forests,
Great feasts of the gods,
Kings and queens,
Revelling in glory,
Telling every story,

The soul immortal,
Even if demonic,
But all become holy,
All become a spirit,
Perhaps god,
But a spirit nevertheless,
Every immortal,
To live lives that impress,

For poor go to rich,
Those evil opposite,
Gifts taken from the guilty,
But everyone goes home in the end,
Heaven waiting for confessions,
And learnt lessons,

Immortals to walk the earth,
Smelling of perfume,
And bathing in holy waters,
For the immortal is pure,
Heart and soul never lost,
And nothing to pay or return,
Nothing to ever cost,
For the best things in life are free,
And souls move on,
Likes the waves of the sea,
Happiness to only be felt,
Immortal moving from life to life,
God's precious jewel,
Never hardship for the immortal.

The Immortal: Part 3

Born over and over again
From male to female
Female to male
Female to female
Male to male

From white to black
Black to white
Even to olive and to beige
No one to feel the rage
Outdated beliefs: in a cage

From BC to AD
Thousands of years
Passing through a thousand more
Years to work during and life restore
The human race never ending

Through generation to generation
Children to grow and learn
Into appropriate adults
Learning from their ancestors
Their peers and their families

Many life experiences
From India to America
From Ireland to England
From Africa to Spain
Greece to Australia

Eight billion people
Walking planet earth
Every life with worth
From the poor to the rich
From slaves to superiors

Every language beautiful:
From Chinese to Spanish
Greek to English
Swedish to German
And every other language spoken

Different religions
With different magical stories
With different beliefs
And different ways of learning
All religions amazing

The wheel of reincarnation
Spinning for all souls
From hell to heaven
From demonic or angelic
All souls waiting for judgment day

Time never ending
A planet forever spinning
Blue and green
The human race seen
To be trouble and problematic

But from decent citizens
To troublemakers
Everyone has a place on earth
And everyone has worth
For heaven is a place on earth

All the people of the world
Join hands and celebrate
Because their lives are amazing
Full of vibrant colours
And full of soul deep love.
