The King Is Dead Poem by Ima Ryma

The King Is Dead

England's dead King Richard the Third
For five centuries, facts unknown.
Killed in a battle was the word
As why he was not on the throne.
A pile of bones was dug up, and
Checked out by modern C.S.I.
Holes in the skull were seen firsthand.
Brain piercings caused the king to die.
And from the angle, on his knees,
Head pointed downward in defeat.
Post mortem, assailants did please
Smack his body, beat after beat.

And how was all this info got?
Bones found under a parking lot.
