The Lamb Of God Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

With a view to Easter, this short piece:
Priests were mediators
between people and God
They prayed and offered sacrifices
on behalf of the people
But as we saw yesterday,
they had to do that daily,
without finding a definitive solution
to the problem of sin

Jesus was a very different priest

He sacrificed Himself!
That is why the Bible calls Him "the Lamb of God"
a perfect Lamb that was sacrificed

And since He was absolutely sinless,
He didn't have to die for His own sins,
but for those of humanity
