The Leaves Of Autumn Skies Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

The Leaves Of Autumn Skies

Rating: 5.0

To hear the birds start singing
And the sweetness of their call,
Their gracefulness and beauty
Send a message to us all,
Floating through the darkness
As the sun begins to rise,
And carried on the wind amongst
The leaves of autumn skies.

The sound so reassuring
Like an old beloved friend,
The comfort that they give me
And the goodwill that they send,
As I waken from my slumber
Every note a treasured prize,
And carried on the wind amongst
The leaves of autumn skies.

The day is now beginning
And the air is full of song,
I listen to each melody
That seems to flow along,
They fill my heart with gladness
As the morning dew now dries,
And carried on the wind amongst
The leaves of autumn skies.

I was also carried along with this one Andrew, the flow is immaculate and again I loved the repeated endings to each verse/stanza. A real WOW poem.! ! ! ! Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

When I was young, I would cycle down to the garages in the early morning just to hear the bird song, the traffic almost nill and the birdsong clearer for it Another heart-warming reminder here, Thankyou Love duncan X
