is it not 'Erotic'
what i'm
writing
here to you
that if
you
make me
stop it
i will
have to tell
on you
and
if they hear
you 'cry'
then i
may never
come
again
but
if i let you stay
and you
are looking
out
my window
do you see
that
lizard over there
on that
tree
and what
it's doing.

James aka iip, the poem you sent with the title “A Lizard” is not the same as TWO of the poems in your PH list of poems which have the titles: “A Lizard” and “A’ Lizard”. It is also not quite the same as one entitled “A Florida Lizard” or one titled “Just A Lizard” OR one titled “On ‘Reading’.. A Lizard”. WOW, so many lizards! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! BUT THE ONE YOU SENT (with a title of “A Lizard”) does match a poem: “The Lizard”, in your poem list. [I did a search of your poems using the key word “lizard” to discover all of these poems] HOLY SMOKE! so I will put the poem you sent me into the showcase, but WHAT TITLE DO YOU WANT ON IT? ? ? ? ? ? GET BACK TO ME PLEASE**************************** in a poetic sense (I think) this poem IS ‘exotic’. it may even be extraterrestrial! actually, this Is perhaps the poem I’ve read, from “Is It Poetry”, which I like the best. ok, I can’t swear I understand every line of it, but for the most part it seems clear. and the rhyming and flow of it are captivating. WAIT! there is hardly any rhyming at all! I could have sworn there was rhyming. it seemed as though there was. I ‘love’ the way the lines are shaped: sort of like a long, thin LIZARD! The fast pace and the unknown “what” at the end are also nice (for me) . to MyPoemList and to the September showcase, on my PH site, it goes AS “The Lizard”. YES, I'LL PUT IT INTO SHOWCASE WITH THE LIZARD AS THE TITLE. TELL ME IF YOU WANT ME TO CHANGE IT TO A LIZARD. bri :)
