The Lonely Life Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Lonely Life

Why were we given
The capacity to love?
If not fulfilled,
Inferno builds,
Earthly despair,
A light that fades,
Dimmer and dimmer,
If there is no one
There to care.

To love, be loved
The greatest moment
Of Life's affaire!
So sad,
When no one's there.

Exactly! Good question. And why were we given a brain with such capacity as is barely touched in our lifetime? Because we were designed to live forever. And to love forever.

A light that fades if there's no one to care. Beautifully written.
