Do you know the man Bri
Miles and miles away from me
Never set my eyes once on him
A virtual friend he has been
Connected only by thoughts and interest
As our pens and inks freely flow.
Do you know the man Bri
Who loves to write and writes so well
Who makes poetry fun and interesting to read
Who spends time to read and make a critique
Encouraging colleagues to let their pen flow.
If you see this man Bri
Tell him of a friend who cares
Down in the natural jungle of Africa
A humble man not too proud to learn
Rather proud of his origin and culture
A hidden ally with a prolific pen
Who writes nothing but from the heart
If I meet this man Bri
Someday, sometime, somewhere
A firm handshake will I offer
A warm friendly hug may follow
Full of affection and respect and love
And gladly will I say to him sincerely
You are a friend I am happy to meet.

This is magnificent appreciation...... thanks for sharing....
Nice acknowledgement and appreciation, we all love him and like his comments, though he wants everyone to be pefectionist yet we all are different and write poems in our own ways. Language is just the meduim of exchange. Good Tribute.5****
five stars ***** AND it was NOT because the poem dealt (kindly) , in part, with ME, Me, me! ! ! ! Someday I might write about Kingsley; we'll see. bri : )
st.3 'ally' noun, as used here I think: 'one that is associated with another as a helper: a person or group that provides assistance and support in an ongoing effort, activity, or struggle' A 'struggle'? On PH? ? ! ! ! ! ;))) ...ally is also used as a verb. : ) bri
stanza 2, line 4: 'critic' perhaps 'should be' 'critique'? (pronounced differently, noun or verb I believe, and obviously spelled differently, and with a definition related to 'critic'. ;)
A beautiful tribute to Bri. So very true, he makes Poetry fun and interesting to read. A well expressed, heartfelt and humbling write.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
