The Mare Poem by Janelle Morehart

The Mare

Rating: 5.0

Thunder rolls around me
Wind breathes in my hair
A beautiful mare beneath me
A sweet silent prayer
The mane of gold
The coat of sun
The shining bronze of hooves
Such a lovely mare
A beautiful beast
To which none but me can beseech
None but me
As she is my dream you see
None but mine alone
So i shall ride her to the very end
Far down this heavenly road
